First Visit

What Should You Expect at the Initial Appointment?

Welcome to our office! We understand that each patient has different health needs, aesthetic goals, and expectations about treatment. We have set aside a special time to discuss these questions regarding you or your child's orthodontic care. For your first visit, please take the time to complete the new patient form available on-line. By completing this form prior to the consultation, we can begin your visit without delay.

Consultation

At the first visit to the orthodontist, diagnostic records are made to determine the best course of treatment. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and digital X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

After Dr. Kravitz has evaluated your records, he will discuss your treatment plan with you in detail. Kathy, our office manager and treatment coordinator, will take time to review the cost of treatment and the many financial payment options available.
